HiNAIA Accessibility Statement

Last Updated 4.17.26

Introduction

HiNAIA Education Technology, Inc. (“HiNAIA”) is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for all users. Accessibility is foundational to our mission and is embedded into how we design, build, deploy, and continuously improve our platform.

HiNAIA supports inclusive learning environments and recognizes accessibility as both a civil right and a core instructional requirement, particularly for students with Specific Learning Disabilities, ADHD, and other learning differences. Our accessibility approach is grounded in Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and aligned with federal and state education, disability, and privacy laws.

1. Our Commitment to Accessibility

HiNAIA is designed to support learners with Specific Learning Disabilities, ADHD, and other learning differences.

We are committed to ensuring that our platform is:

  • Perceivable, operable, and understandable

  • Compatible with assistive technologies

  • Flexible and adaptable to different learning preferences and accessibility needs

  • Safe, age-appropriate, and instructionally relevant for K–12 educational use

Accessibility at HiNAIA is not an add-on. It is integrated into our product architecture, AI design, and development lifecycle.

2. Accessibility Standards and Guidelines

HiNAIA aims to conform to the following standards and frameworks:

  • Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA

  • Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act

  • Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act

  • Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) (instructional support alignment)

  • Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles

We continuously evaluate our platform against these standards and incorporate accessibility considerations throughout design, development, testing, and release processes.

3. Accessibility, AI, and Neuroadaptive Design

HiNAIA’s platform includes adaptive and AI-assisted functionality designed to improve accessibility, reduce cognitive load, and personalize instruction, while maintaining strong safeguards.

Key principles include:

  • AI features are designed to support accessibility and comprehension, not to evaluate, diagnose, or replace educator judgment

  • AI operates within defined parameters and role-based permissions

  • Student Data is not used to train public or third-party AI models

  • AI outputs are contextual supports and may include alternative representations, scaffolding, or simplification

  • Authorized educators and administrators maintain visibility and oversight of AI-supported interactions

These safeguards support accessibility while aligning with FERPA, IDEA, Section 504, and district AI governance requirements.

4. Accessibility Features and Supports

HiNAIA includes accessibility and usability features that may include:

  • Screen reader compatibility

  • Adjustable text size, spacing, and contrast

  • Text-to-speech and speech-to-text supports

  • Visual aids and alternative representations of content

  • Clear language and structured layouts

  • Reduced cognitive load through scaffolding

Availability of specific features may vary by role, grade level, configuration, and Customer implementation.

5. Assistive Technology Compatibility

HiNAIA is designed to be compatible with commonly used assistive technologies, including:

  • Screen readers

  • Keyboard-only navigation

  • Browser zoom and operating system accessibility settings

We test across modern browsers and devices and work to identify and address compatibility issues as they arise.

6. Privacy, Safety, and Accessibility

Accessibility at HiNAIA is implemented alongside strong privacy, safety, and oversight protections:

  • Student Data is processed solely on behalf of educational institutions

  • HiNAIA does not sell Student Data or advertise to students

  • Role-based access controls ensure appropriate visibility and supervision

  • Platform activity is logged to support instructional oversight and compliance

  • Accessibility features operate within authorized educational contexts

These measures support accessible learning experiences while protecting student rights under FERPA, COPPA, IDEA, and Section 504.

7. Ongoing Testing and Improvement

Accessibility is an ongoing effort.

HiNAIA:

  • Incorporates accessibility checks into design and development workflows

  • Conducts internal reviews and testing using accessibility evaluation tools

  • Prioritizes remediation based on impact and severity

  • Collaborates with educators and users to validate real-world usability

As the platform evolves, we continuously improve accessibility across new and existing features.

8. Known Limitations

While we strive for full accessibility, some areas of the platform may not yet fully meet all accessibility standards. We actively track and address identified gaps.

If you encounter an accessibility barrier, we encourage you to contact us so we can work with you and your institution to identify solutions or accommodations.

9. Third-Party Content and Integrations

HiNAIA may integrate with third-party tools, content, or services. While we encourage partners to meet accessibility standards, HiNAIA does not control the accessibility of third-party content. We work with Customers to identify accessible alternatives or appropriate accommodations where feasible.

10. Feedback and Support

We welcome feedback on the accessibility of the HiNAIA platform.
