A Year of Progress, Gratitude, and Building a Platform That Lasts

As the year winds down, I find myself reflecting less on speed and more on substance, less on what was visible, and more on what was built with intention. Much of the progress happened quietly through thoughtful conversations, trusted collaboration, and steady focus before results were visible. Looking back now, it was a year of real, meaningful progress.

Ten Things We’re Proud of This Year

  1. We sharpened our mission and reaffirmed why HiNAIA exists: to meet students where they are and support students, educators, and families.

  2. We listened deeply to the special education community, learning from IEP and 504 realities, compliance demands, educator workload, and lived classroom experiences.

  3. We advanced our platform intentionally, prioritizing scalability, compliance, and long-term durability over speed.

  4. We embedded accessibility and Universal Design for Learning from the start, making them foundational rather than an afterthought.

  5. We built a mission-aligned leadership team grounded in both expertise and empathy.

  6. Educator insights directly informed product decisions and iteration.

  7. We showed up in the broader community through partnerships, conferences, and conversations around equity and inclusion.

  8. We strengthened operational discipline, learning when to say no and where to focus our energy.

  9. We laid meaningful groundwork for partnerships that will shape what comes next.

  10. Through complexity, we stayed resilient, committed, and moving forward.

With Gratitude

None of this happens alone. I am incredibly grateful to our advisors for their time, wisdom, and candid guidance. To our early supporters and believers, thank you for trusting the vision. To the educators and families who shared their stories, your openness keeps this work grounded in purpose. And to our spouses, partners, and families behind the scenes, thank you for your patience, understanding, and constant support.

Wishing you and yours a wonderful holiday season and a Happy New Year!

With gratitude,
